About This Role

This is not a typical clinical position. We are looking for a rare combination: a clinically masterful therapist who is also a gifted educator, a natural relationship-builder, and a systematic thinker who can hold a room in Baltimore and then do it again two weeks later in rural Arkansas. As a CETA Clinical & Implementation Specialist, you will deliver CETA training to clinical workforces across diverse settings, build relationships with site supervisors and organizational leaders, support providers through the certification path, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our training systems and curriculum. You will be a face of CETA Global in the field.

But this role is bigger than training alone. CETA Global is a small, fast-growing company, and we need a genuine jack-of-all-trades — someone who can run a room of clinicians one week and help manage a project timeline, explore a new AI tool, or think through a business problem the next. You should be excited by the idea of being a real player inside a growing organization, not just an outside trainer who shows up and leaves.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-energy, highly effective multi-day CETA trainings (in-person and virtual) to mental health providers across clinical settings, including community mental health centers, federally qualified health centers, Veterans Service Organizations, and international contexts

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with site supervisors, clinical directors, and organizational champions

  • Provide ongoing case consultation and clinical supervision support to providers working toward CETA certification

  • Utilize the CareConfidence platform and Client Monitoring Form (CMF) data to guide training, fidelity monitoring, and clinical feedback

  • Collaborate with the CETA Global clinical and operations team to refine training materials, onboarding tools, and curriculum

  • Take on project management responsibilities across trainings, sites, and cross-functional initiatives — tracking timelines, deliverables, and communication with partners

  • Bring curiosity and hands-on comfort with AI and technology tools to help evolve our training curriculum and platforms, including CareConfidence and EBT-Sim

  • Contribute business acumen and a builder’s mindset — spotting opportunities, solving problems creatively, and helping grow CETA Global beyond your immediate role

  • Travel to training sites as needed (domestic and potentially international); estimated 30–50% travel

Who You Are

You are a clinician first. You have deep, well-practiced expertise in cognitive behavioral therapies and have worked across a broad range of evidence-based protocols. You don’t just know CBT — you use it, supervise it, and can teach its underlying logic to a room full of skeptics and make them believers by lunch.

You are a teacher by nature. You can read a room, adjust in real time, make a nervous new learner feel capable, and make a seasoned clinician feel challenged. You are clear, concise, and compelling — not because you rehearse it, but because you think that way.

You care deeply about quality. You know that training alone doesn’t create competent providers, and you hold yourself to a higher standard. You track details, meet deadlines, follow through, and bring structure to ambiguity without being asked.

You are energized by this work. The mission of getting effective mental health care to people who need it — in under-resourced communities, rural settings, globally — is something you feel personally, not just professionally.

You are a jack-of-all-trades. You don’t wait to be told your lane — you notice what needs to happen and figure out how to make it happen, whether that’s a clinical training, a project plan, or exploring a new AI tool that could make the work better. Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field with licensure AND demonstrated breadth of training and proficiency across a number of evidence-based practices (CBT, CPT, PE, MI, DBT, BA, PST, or similar)

  • Minimum 5 years of direct clinical practice with demonstrated CBT expertise

  • Significant experience in clinical training, teaching, or workforce development

  • Strong supervisory experience with ability to assess and develop clinical competency in others

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills — clear, concise, and compelling in front of diverse audiences

  • Highly organized with strong project management habits and the ability to manage multiple sites/trainings simultaneously

  • Comfortable with technology platforms and data-driven approaches to clinical quality, with genuine curiosity about how AI and emerging tech can improve how care is delivered.

Preferred

  • Experience with transdiagnostic or unified protocol approaches

  • Experience in global mental health, low-resource settings, or task-sharing models

  • Familiarity with implementation science frameworks

  • Experience training trainers or developing training-of-trainer programs

  • Hands-on experience using AI or other emerging technology tools in a work setting (e.g., content development, workflow automation, or clinical decision support)

  • Demonstrated project management experience across multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Business acumen or entrepreneurial experience — start-up, small business, or new-program launch experience is a plus
